Love anime? Into cartoons? Just want to learn to draw awesome characters? This is your class.
Each week students explore the art of character design — from expressive faces and dynamic poses to bold inking and vibrant color. We pull inspiration from anime, western cartoons, comics, and original character creation, so there's always something new to draw and a new style to try.
Students build skills week over week, working in their own sketchbook with markers, colored pencils, and inking tools. By the end of the month they'll have a growing collection of original characters they actually made.
✏️ What they'll learn:
Face and body proportions across different styles
Expressions, hairstyles, and outfits
Inking with clean lines
Shading and coloring techniques
Tuesdays 6:45-7:45pm. Recommended for ages 10 & Up. Younger children may be able to join with instructors’ permission, email Chriztie @ theartdenllc.com or speak to Ms. Lauren at the studio. Parents may drop off or hang out.
